Alex Bag

I hadwatched untitled 95 in a similar film class before and fell in love with it. She is my absolute favorite performer that we watch in class. Content-wise, I like it because it is light and easy to watch.
In the majority of the experimentals we watch they are supposedly drenched in meaning though I usually just can't see it the way our instructors want us to. I feel like I watch a movie of a tree for 5 minutes and the entire time I'm thinking of this HAS to mean something what does this mean? Personally films like that mean nothing to me at all, though I feel like they're suppose to. So with Alex Bag's humor I felt like I could finally look back and enjoy something and reflecting on it later to find meaning instead of forcing myself to find meaning in something as it plays because it is too boring for me to just sit there and watch it.

My main curiousities about Untitled 95 is who Alex Bag was mocking. Herself? People she knew or saw or disliked? I found myself being able to relate to her and these stages that she was going through and her opinions of "art" and the classes and so on. It touched me to feel like I am not the only one that feels this way. Yet after feeling cleansed by her piece it occurred to me, was she mocking me? Even if she was I wouldn't care, but was she? I only felt this way because of how she performed the girl making the confessions. She portrayed her like she was an airhead. Yet her confessions themselves felt so true and naked. I realized though, without the "airheadedness" I could not have laughed. And I think humor was the whole point. I LOVE Alex Bag and would pay Carl a bajillion dollars to try and get her to be a visiting artist.

You tube post: I found zipster08 on youtube about a year ago. He is a flambouyant old gay guy and rants about life and posts humorous wisdoms. He is very popular, sometimes recieving up to 300,000 views. However, there was a huge "controversy" when someone discovered that zipster08 was a character. He is acting, playing a part. I posted 2nd video of him in character, and the first is the real "zipster".
